Biography 

Peter Vermeulen is a Dutch artist working primarily in oils. Inspired by everyday observations, he seeks to capture character, atmosphere and the small details that often go unnoticed. His work ranges from figurative subjects and portraits to wildlife, always aiming to balance realism with painterly expression.

My Inspiration

I draw inspiration from fellow artists and from the countless images and moments I observe in everyday life. Often, it is the small details within a larger scene that capture my attention. I believe every painting has only a few essential elements, while everything else should support them. Rather than painting every detail explicitly, I prefer to let details emerge naturally through the spontaneous application of paint.
